And she is tired. Not lazy-tired. Formation-tired. The kind of tired that comes from pouring yourself into spaces that were never designed to hold who you actually are.

She doesn't have language for it yet. She just knows that something is off. That the path everyone said would work hasn't worked for her. That she keeps leaving — or being left behind — while she stands at the edge of something she can almost see.

The inaugural A Certain Woman Conference is a two-day formation experience for women who are ready to stop performing for rooms that do not see them and start walking in the fullness of who they actually are.

She was somebody before anyone knew her name. So were you.

This is not another women's conference. There are no motivational speeches, no hustle content, no generic empowerment. This is a room full of women who have done the work and are ready to do the right work — together.

Rev. Dr. Tasha M. Brown — Founder, Purple Ladies Group

Rev. Dr. Tasha M. Brown

DMin · Founder & CEO, Purple Ladies Group

Tasha Brown is a formation architect. For more than 27 years she has been doing one thing consistently — helping women understand themselves so they can walk faithfully in what God has placed in them.

Her work spans economic development, nonprofit leadership, pastoral ministry, and higher education. She has built programs, led organizations, advocated for women in rooms that did not always welcome that advocacy, and left every system that asked her to abandon herself in order to stay.

She is the woman PLG exists to serve. She built PLG because she needed it and could not find it anywhere else.

She holds a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral and Spiritual Care from McCormick Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor's in Human Resource Development from Northeastern Illinois University. She is a published author and contributing scholar in the field of faith-based entrepreneurship.
